Telangana,ACB,investigation official,Cash-for-vote scam
Hyderabad: In a surprising development, Anti-Corruption Bureau has changed the Investigation Officer probing the Cash-for-vote scandal in which TDP MLA Revanth Reddy and two others were arrested. Earlier, a DSP level official supervised the probe and now Additional SP level official will conduct the probe.
Though the MLA Stephenson has lodged the complaint with ACB DG AK Khan, ACB DSP Ashok Kumar was appointed as the investigation officer. The ACB recently replaced Ashok Kumar with Malla Reddy. Malla Reddy earlier worked as Additional SP of Mahbubnagar and he was transferred to ACB and appointed as the Investigation Officer of the case.
Similarly Charu Sinha was transferred from CID and appointed as ACB Director and Karimnagar SP Shivashankar was transferred and appointed as ACB Joint Director. Sources said that Shivashankar was brought in as he is well versed with Information Technology and would strongly present the arguments on behalf of ACB in court.
