Nalgonda: The leaders of Muslim organisations and some political parties demanded for a CBI inquiry or probe by a sitting judge to unravel the truth behind the recent encounters in the State since they are apprehensive about the SIT probe constituted by state government since the cop heading the SIT ream is an anti-Muslim, they  alleged.   Nalgonda Muslim Muthed Mahaz, on Friday night, organised a meeting in Madeena Masjid ground in Nalgonda town protesting against the recent encounters in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh States for which large number of Muslims turned up.

Speaking on the occasion, MIM MLA Ahamed Balala said that five under trial prisoners were killed by the police in an encounter in the State. Even though, the under-trials might have been facing serve charges, but who gave police the right to shoot them down, he questioned. He reminded that the MIM has requested the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for an inquiry by CBI or sitting judge, but the government has ordered for an inquiry by Special Investigation Team (SIT).

He alleged that the police officer, who is heading SIT, is an anti- Muslim and wary of the outcome of the probe. He also demanded the government to suspend the police officers, who were involved in the incident. The Congress M P Gutta Sukender Reddy said that Constitution of India has provided equal rights to the people of all the religions. Stating that no one had the right to take the law into their hands in thedemocracy, the government should take stringent action against such officials.  

The leader of Jamathe Islami Dr Abdul Majeed said that the killing of five under trials in  Nalgonda district is not an encounter, it is brutal killing by the police. Stating that the hidden agenda seems to be to eliminate the Muslims across the world and said that Muslims, who constituted more than one core population in the country, were integral part of India. He demanded that the TRS government should suspend the police officers involved in the fake encounter with immediate effect to enable for a fair inquiry into the incident.
