Activists of Tamila Munnetra Padai (TMP), threatened to remove the statue of well-known actor Shoban Babu, at his residence in Chennai. This was in retaliation to the removal of the statue of LTTE chief, Prabhakaran, in Nagapatnam, by the Tamil Nadu government. The family members of the actor protested, saying that his statue was on the premises of his own property. Police forces have been deployed to stop any vandalism.
