Hyderabad: Piped natural gas would be supplied to all the households in the state within 13 months, said Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.
Chandrababu said that Andhra Pradesh Gas Development Corporation (APGDC) and Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL) inked a pact to set up Liquefied Natural Gas Regasification terminal.
He said that gas pipelines would be constructed from Kakinada to Srikakulam. Under the pact, Rs 1,800 crore would be spent to construct a floating gas terminal at Kakinada port and 15 million cubic feet of gas would be supplied to all parts of the state from the terminal every day.
GAIL and APGDC will jointly execute the project and the state government would hold 48 per cent stake in the venture.
