The heat is growing against the Telangana government. The Students unions are increasing their agitations against the Telangana government. They are blaming the government for its failure to pay fee reimbursement and scholarship arrears amounting to over Rs 1,000 crore.
The situation escalated when the student broke the tight security cordon and tried to enter the CM’s camp office in Begumpet and the Secretariat on Friday. Huge tense environment was seen when the students went on raising slogans against Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and the Telangana government for its inefficiency.
Students also laid siege to the residence of irrigation minister T Harish Rao’s residence in Siddipet. Tension mounted as students clashed with the police who had to resort to lathi charge to disperse them.
SFI state president M. Shobhan Nayak said, “We feel completely let down. Is this the Telangana for which the students fought? Telangana students are on the streets as the colleges are not allowing them to attend classes or appear for exams due to fee arrears.”
