Salaries of MLAS, MLCs to be hiked in AP

Close on the heels of Telangana legislators, the salaries of Andhra Pradesh (AP) legislators and MLCs also will be hiked. The Bill regarding the hiked salaries has been tabled by the committee concerned, in the Assembly today. The salaries of members of Legislative Assembly and Council will increase from Rs. 90,000 to Rs. 1.50 lakh. Their House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be doubled from Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 50,000.
