Witness in Seshachalam encounter, Balachander, gave his statement to the SIT that is investigating the case. Balachander from Dharmapuri in Chennai, earlier complained to the High Court that police whisked away six Tamil labourers in a bus. But after that, he was evading the SIT, without giving any information. Finally, he was called to Puttur, by SIT DSP Raghunath, who took his statement. While police ordered Balachander to come to the place of the incident, his lawyer, Ravi said that they were giving the statement as per High Court orders.
