Union Minister Uma Bharathi seeks Rs.1650 crores for Polavaram project

Union Minister Uma Bharathi stated that the central Funds released for the Polavaram Project are not sufficient. Polavaram Project is the pride of India.The Government will announce a new deadline, soon. AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had been called for discussion on the same, said Uma Bharathi.

AP Chief Minister Chandrababu stated that the state government spent Rs 1952 crore in 2014-15 on Polavaram project works of which the Centre reimbursed only Rs 345 crore, he said. In 2015-16 fiscal, the state spent Rs 2485 crore but the Centre has realsed Rs.200 crores, he added.
