Panasonic on Wednesday launched the camera-only version of its Panasonic Lumix DMC-CM1 camera smartphone, dubbed the Lumix DMC-CM10. The camera will go on sale in Japan on February 25 at around JPY 100,000 (roughly Rs. 58,500).

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-CM10 features the same innards as its telephony version, which was launched back in 2014.

It sports a 20-megapixel sensor with a 10mm (28mm-equivalent) f/2.8 Leica DC Elmarit lens and comes with a mechanical shutter and a manual control ring to adjust ISO levels and other functions. Features such as autofocus lock, autofocus tracking, manual focus frame moving, manual focus assist, and more are also included. Notably, the 20-megapixel sensor is of the 1-inch MOS-type. The camera further is backed by a Venus engine, usually seen on the company's Lumix cameras. White balance options included in the camera are auto, sunny, cloudy, shade, incandescent, and others. Several exposure and metering options, camera and video shooting modes, image capturing/video recording resolution options, choice of image formats are also support. The Panasonic Lumix DMC-CM10 also supports 4K video recording, a feature lately seen in many high-end smartphones such as iPhone 6s Plus, Samsung Galaxy S6 series, Sony Xperia Z5, and more.

Further, the Lumix DMC-CM1 camera runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box. It is powered by the same 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor alongside 2GB of RAM. It features a 4.7-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) display. For connectivity, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-CM10 supports 4G LTE networks along with GPS, Wi-Fi, a/b/g/n/ac, Micro-USB 2.0, and Bluetooth 4.0. It comes with 16GB of inbuilt storage, which is expandable up to 128GB (via microSD card). It is backed by a 2600mAh Li-ion battery, which is supported by Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0. The battery is rated to deliver up to 630 hours on 3G/4G standby time. The camera measures 135.4x68.0x21.1mm, and weighs 204 grams.
