Earlier this week, we saw the rumoured Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) appearing in GFXBench benchmark results, revealing some specifications. This time the unannounced Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) has purportedly emerged on the same benchmarking website, giving us a glimpse about the specifications.
A smartphone with model number SM-J710x is thought to be the Galaxy J7 (2016), and is listed to run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. Other specifications mentioned include a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080x1920 pixels) resolution display with at least 5-finger gesture support. Under-the-hood, the smartphone packs an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, clubbed with Android 405 GPU, and 3GB RAM.
The handset in question houses 16GB of inbuilt storage. It also features a 12-megapixel autofocus rear camera, with face detection, HDR, and touch focus features, along with a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, which can record full-HD resolution videos. Other features included are accelerometer, compass, light sensor, proximity sensor, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC, and Wi-Fi.
Besides the Galaxy J5 (2016) and the Galaxy J7 (2016), the company is reportedly also working on the Galaxy J1 (2016) smartphone. The handset was seen up for sale in Dubai for AED 499 (roughly Rs. 9,000) at a Jumbo Electronics showroom.
For reference, the original Samsung Galaxy J7 smartphone, which was launched in July last year, runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out-of-the-box. It was also the company's one of the first smartphones to feature a front-facing flash making it a selfie-focus smartphone.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 houses a 5.5-inch Super Amoled display with a HD screen resolution of 720x1280 pixels. It packs a 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 410 SoC coupled with 1.5GB of RAM under-the-hood, 16GB of inbuilt storage, and a 3000mAh battery rated to deliver 354 hours of standby time. It sports a 13-megapixel rear autofocus camera with f/1.9 aperture and 5-megapixel front camera. Apart from 4G, the handset supports 3G, Bluetooth v4.1, Wi-Fi, NFC, GPS, Glonass and Micro-USB.
