Says the government has taken people for a ride

He described the proposals as anti-people and harmful to the State, while appealing to the ruling and Opposition parties not to accept them. The APCC chief contended that it was “humiliating” for the people that the administration showed its incapability to deliver. He expressed resentment over the government’s failure to even launch the work of the Handri-Neeva project after promising to complete it within one year of coming to power.

Proposals finalised in Singapore, Japan

Addressing the media in Nellore, former Minister Anam Vivekananda Reddy claimed that the budget proposals, which were finalised in Singapore and Japan, were intended to cheat farmers, Dwcra women and unemployed. “Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has shown 3D cinema in the first Seemandhra budget, ignoring the election promises,” he said. He feared that the government would impose taxes amounting to Rs.40,000 crore on the people. He called upon the unemployed youth to revolt as the government had failed to keep its promise of giving them dole.

Allocations inadequate

In Kadapa, district YSRCP convener Amaranth Reddy stated that they had never seen such hotchpotch budget proposals.
