The Telangana government Chief Minister KCR had announced long back that the government has taken the cleaning of Hussain Sagar project very seriously and they had released 100 crores for this Hussain Sagr water purifying project. T Government had planned of emptying the Hussainsagar Lake, de-silting it and subsequently re-filling it with fresh water.

Latest news is that T Govt has to sell Hussain Sagar water by purifying it. The buyers who want to buy the lake water needs to come on their own vehicles to purchase the water, the other needs of selling water to private sectors was banned by government. But experts are saying that usage of Hussain Sagar water after purification also may cause serious health problems to public.
