Creative film maker Selva Raghavan makes no mistakes when dealing with sex based story elements. Thought it might look awkward, Selva nails it without any reticence. His characters behave crudely with strong native factor. Best example for the above briefing is ‘7/G Brindavan Colony’ as the characterizations of hero, heroine struck the chord with current day teenage thoughts.
Although his wife Geethanjali directed a Tamil film ‘Maalai Naerathu Mayakkam,’ it was the stamp of Selva Raghavan felt all over. Dubbed into Telugu as ‘Nannu Vadili Neevu Polevule’ in Telugu and planned for a release on April 1, story of this flick is quite bold and treatment is above the regular South Indian cinema standards. However, this is what makes Selva non-identical from others.
‘Nannu Vadili Neevu Polevule’ is a subject revolving around wife-husband with rape/sex as the conflict and a boyfriend-girlfriend where again sex is centrally discussed. Nevertheless, pure love and cute romance lie in background theme of the movie but critics found it hard, difficult to analyze such new age love stories. Let us see, how far our Telugu audience connect with Selva and his wife’s ideology?
