It looks like Bharatiya Janata Party is getting closer to the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi with every passing day.
While Minister for IT and Panchayat Raj K T Rama Rao is doing his best in New Delhi to bring the TRS closer to the NDA, back home the BJP leaders are evincing interest in praising Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao and hobnobbing with the other TRS leaders.
On Tuesday, the BJP legislators appeared happier than anybody else in approving the Bill seeking to enhance the salaries of the legislators, besides increasing the Constituency Development Fund from Rs 1 crore to Rs 3 crore a year.
Speaking on the occasion, BJP floor leader in the Assembly Dr Laxman lavished praises on KCR.
“The Chief Minister appears to be a tough man but he is very liberal in his heart. He is a “Bhola Shankar” (Lord Shiva) in granting boons to everybody, if he feels appropriate. I am very much thankful in enhancing our salaries and the Constituency Development Fund,” he said.
