Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu who laid the foundation stone for the new terminal at Gannavaram Airport in Vijayawada on Monday stated that the traffic has increased at the Gannavaram Airport since the establishment of the Capital and said that Airport needs to be developed to meet the rising demand.
Union Urban Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu, Union Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi and Union Minister Sujana Chowdary participated in the event.
Chandrababu also expressed gratitude towards the farmers who voluntarily gave away their lands for the construction of AP Capital Amaravati and pointed out that the farmers were intelligent to ignore the Opposition's allegations.
