Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday participated in the Ayuta Chandi Yaagam being performed by Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao at Erravelli near the city. Chandrababu accompanied by Minister of State for Science and Technology Sujana Chowdary, AP Ministers KE Krishna Murthy and Ganta Srinivasa Rao arrived at the Yaagam in traditional attire and was accorded a warm welcome by his Telangana counterpart.
Chandrababu presented saree and other traditional items brought from Vijayawada Kanakadurga temple at the Yaagam. After participating in some rituals, KCR felicitated Chandrababu and presented memento to him and the visiting dignitaries. He walked up to the vehicle to see them off.
Sunday is the last of the 5-day Yaagam which was visited by a host of political bigwigs including Sharad Pawar, Venkaiah Naidu, Bandaru Dattatreya and Governors of AP-TS ESL Narasimhan, Tamil Nadu K. Rosiah, High Court and Supreme Court judges among others.
The Yaagam was hugely successful with almost two lakh people visiting the venue each day during the weekend since Thursday. Arranging food for each one visiting the place on all the five days was the indication of its success.
