The deputy jailer of Attur Sub-jail was placed under suspension after a video showing him dancing in full uniform was circulated on social media.
Senthil Kumar, Superintendent, Salem Central Prison, served the order.According to the Hindu, 58-year-old Shankaran had recently taken part in the Republic Day parade in Chennai. The same night, he performed a dance at a hotel room that was videographed by his colleagues. Further details are awaited on the incident.
