Water sharing and irrigation projects have become contentious issues between Andhra and Telangana from few days. In the wake of Telangana plans to construct new projects both telugu states are witnessing a verbal dispute. AP government has expressed deep concerns on proposed irrigation projects of Telangana government.
In order to clear the uncertainty Telangana Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao has taken the initiative. As per reports Irrigation Minister Harish Rao today called to AP irrigation minister Devineni Uma and offered for peace talks.
Harish Rao invited Devineni Uma for a meeting to discuss on various issues including Telangana's RDS and water share and proposed projects on Godavari . Devineni Uma also responded positively to Harish Rao's proposal and asked to arrange the meeting as soon as possible. A high level meeting comprising of ministers and officials will soon take place.
