Andhra Pradesh faced a deficit budget and to improve the financial position the State needed the cooperation of the Central government, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said in Vizianagaram on Thursday.
Speaking at the Ananda Gajapati Auditorium on the topic, `Water-Progress', the Chief Minister remarked that whatever be the financial problems facing the State, the administration was working well.
The financial problems dogging the State since the split of the combined Andhra Pradesh continued to be there. The State wanted Centre's cooperaton.
Despite the financial problems, the State had waived Rs 23,500 crore of farmers' loans, he added.
