In a survey conducted by India Today Group-Nielsen, Osmania University has been ranked as the number one university among all the State universities across the country.

University Registrar Prof E Suresh Kumar announced the news at a press conference on Wednesday who said that OU rated number 1 among all the universities in South India and ranked fifth in the entire country including the Central universities.

Mr Kumar added that reputation of the university, research publication and reports, quality of academic input, faculty, students and infrastructure, placement opportunities, admission procedure, students’ security arrangements and global exposure were taken as the parameters for ranking. The University Registrar Professor also said that efforts are on to get Osmania University into the list of top 200 universities across the world.
