AP Govt orders collectors to complete Godavari Pushkarams works by June 15

The state government has directed the district collectors of East and West Godavari to complete the works related to forthcoming Godavari Maha Pushkarams (GMP) by June 15.

So far, 2,007 works worth Rs 901 crore have been completed in both the districts as rolex replica watches against 2,557 works amounting to Rs  1,119 crore.  The government has taken up 1,194 works worth ` 502 crore related to various departments of which 1,103 works to the tune of Rs 449 crore have been finished. It has also undertaken 1,363 works worth Rs  697 of which 814 works amounting to Rs  452 crore have been accomplished.

Of the total, 268 works worth Rs  110 crore have been executed by irrigation department, 89 works to the tune of Rs 175 crore by roads and buildings, 72 works amounting to Rs 72 crore by panchayat raj, 284 works worth Rs 28 crore by endowments, 41 works to the tune of `54 crore by APEPDCL and 440 works amounting to Rs  380 crore by municipal administration department.

Reviewing the progress of GMP works with the officials of both the districts here Tuesday, chief secretary IYR Krishna Rao said that after completion of the GMP works, the government would concentrate on the facilities to be provided to the pilgrims. It won’t compromise on quality of works and any lapses in this regard will be Rolex Replica GMT viewed seriously, he warned.

He told the officials to make arrangements at bathing ghats to avoid stampede and take necessary steps for proper maintenance of sanitation in the city. He also underlined the need to bring about awareness among people over the ban imposed on plastic usage. Earlier, the chief secretary inspected the works at Kotilingalarevu Ghat, Pushakar Ghat and VIP Ghat.
