Boy gets stitches on thigh as teacher pinches him in classroom
A nine-year old student of a private school in Rajahmundry received two stitches on his thigh after his teacher allegedly pinched him for making noise in the classroom on Thursday, a district educational officer said.
Parents of the victim R Pruthiviraj, a class V student of Naryana High School in Danavaipeta area, alleged that English teacher Sudhir pinched their son on his thigh as the latter was making noise in the class, Rajahmundry District Education Inspector Srinivas Reddy told reporters here.
The kid was taken to hospital where he received two stitches for the injury, he said.
Reddy visited the school after the parents of the boy lodged a complaint against Sudhir who remains untraced.
The boy was discharged after administering treatment.
The parents have not approached police yet on the issue.
Meanwhile, school authorities said they would take appropriate action against the teacher.
