Hyderabad: During election campaign TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu promised to provide employment to people of Andhra. Perhaps he forgot about the promise he made he is now doing just the opposite. Firing people from their jobs.
Most recently in what can be called as ghostly GO, about 20, 536 employees were fired at one go. This is the biggest in the history of Andhra Pradesh (considering United AP too) and since then families of the employees are not being able to meet their ends.
On April 22nd many of the DRDAs (District Rural Development Agency) and NPM (Non-Pesticide Management) agencies were asked to fire their contract employees. As many as 10,286 NPOs who have been supervising 14, 93,824 farmers in 392 mandals and 7250 VA (Village Administrators), 1450 CAs (Cluster Administrators), 1450 RCMs (Rural Committee Members), 59 DCMs (District Committee Members), and 59 Computer Operators who were engaged since 2006 were sent home The sacked employees also were not paid their salaries which is pending and attuning to to Rs.18 crores.
