Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu hails the landslide win in the Tirupati by-elections as a vote for loan waiver and other populist schemes implemented in the last eight months.

He congratulated M. Suguna, wife of late M. Venkataramana, for winning the Tirupati by-elections with a landslide margin of 1,16,524 votes. With the sudden demise of MLA M. Venkataramana following cardiac arrest on December 15, 2014, Chandrababu Naidu gave the seat to Venkataramana's wife Suguna as per the tradition.

The Chief Minister hailed her success as outcome of people’s response to the TDP government’s program and popularity with the implementation of poll promises of loan waiver, free farm power, pensions etc in the last 8 months.
