New Delhi: Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make required allocations for AP in the forthcoming central budget for implementing the provisions of the AP Reorganisation Act.
During his meeting Sunday evening here, Naidu asked Modi to accord special status to AP as per the promise made by the then Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in the Parliament while passing the bifurcation bill.
"Allocations should be made for the construction of the Capital city, Polavaram Project and filling the budgetary deficit of Rs.20,000 Cr," Chandrababu Naidu requested the Prime Minister.
If there are problems in according special status to AP for any reason, funds should be granted without according special category status to the state, Naidu suggested to the PM.
Chandrababu Naidu informed Modi that the Government would announce its industrial policy in the next seven days."The Centre should therefore announce tax concessions and industrial incentives to AP without delay," he appealed to the Prime Minister.
