Several Non-Resident Indians have come forward to adopt 250 villages under the Smart Village and Smart Ward programme in A.P.

The spontaneous response came from NRIs during the presentation made by N. Lokesh, coordinator, Telugu Desam Workers Welfare Fund, in the Bay Area on Friday as part of his week- long US tour to attract investments to the State and create awareness about the Smart Village-Smart Ward programme. He was at Milpitas in Bay Area, California as part of the ‘Meet and Greet’ programme organised to interact with the NRIs, according to a press release from L. V. S. R. K. Prasad, chairman of the media committee of the TDP.
