Star India has struck a deal with MAA TV to acquire a stake in the leading Telugu Entertainment Channel. The news was made official in a press conference attended by MAA Directors Nagarjuna, Nimmagadda Prasad and Star India Representatives held on Wednesday.

However, Both MAA TV and Star India were tight-lipped about transfer of the funds and other aspects which played a key role in the collaboration. But, The deal isn't going to effect the employees working with MAA Network as of now and all of them were likely to continue in the same postions. The name of MAA TV is expected to be rechristened after this development.

Star India described the deal as a step towards  re-invention of Telugu Entertainment. The collaboration will benefit both the Media Houses and a revolution is in the offing.
