Hyderabad: Telangana congress MP Renuka Chowdary brought the issue of ABN and TV9 channels’ ban in the Rajya Sabha. Renuka severely condemned the way the TRS govt is showing discrimination against these two major channels in Telangana State. Renuka said it was the tyranny of the government which tries to suppress the freedom of expression.
 
“Prime channels ABN and TV9 channels have been shut down over 6 weeks; there has been no action by the state govt despite the order of the court, TRAI’s notice and the central government’s response. It is truly the dictatorship of KCR government which is trying to suppress the freedom of expression” she lambasted the Telangana government.
 
However, TRS MP K Keshava Rao thwarted her speech by thrusting his comments and defending the government. For a while there a huge chaos erupted in Rajya Sabha due to these two MPs’ verbal war.
