Veteran stalwarts of Telugu Film Industry, Krishna and Raghavendra Rao haven't expected that the land that was given to them nearly 1 Rupee per yard would push them into troubles in the future. At the peak of Telangana movement, even court cases are lodged on the properties owned by these two. Going by Telangana Chief Minister KCR's words, seems like they are bailed out of troubled waters.

During the good olden times, hero Krishna got land sanctioned in Hyderabad which should be used for film purposes including building a studio there by creating employment for people. He has built Padmayala Studios and operated it for couple of decades. Later, Krishna is accused of selling nearly 8.5 acres of land issued to him, whose market rate is nearly 450 crores. Accusing the then collector Naveen Mittal and an ex-CM and Hyderabad based minister, TRS leaders have approached court too. TRS leader owed to grab the land back and distribute it to poor.

Similar is the case of director K Raghavendra Rao, who has build popular RK Cineplex Building (Cinemax building, Banjara Hills) in a prime land given to him for Film Industry purposes. Though Raghavendra Rao has erected a sound recording studio and editing suite in a hush-hush manner in the building premises, it is evident that the building is an entertainment hub.

The other day Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has openly promised that issues related to Studios in Hyderabad will be solved in favour of the present owners. He owed to give respite to veterans like Krishna by a compromise and also promised them to give a piece of land again on the outskirts of city in case if a settlement fails to happen. So, it's clear, no worries for Krishna and Raghavendra Rao.
