In what is being considered as the country's bloodiest terrorist fighting season in the whole decade, as many as six straight explosions rocked the Afghanistan Parliament in Kabul just a while ago. The attack is said to be carried out by a group of Taliban suicide bombers. The dreaded terrorist organization, Taliban, has already claimed responsibility for the attack.
Heavy gun firing is going on at the moment between the security forces and the mujahedeen and no casualties from the parliament, security forces or the terrorists have been reported so far. The attack took place this morning when the members of the Parliament were gearing up to the Afghan president's nominee for the defence minister post which was being introduced in the parliament.
Live telecast of the attack showed the chaotic and smoke-filled parliament premises while the members of the parliament ran for cover. This attack has been immediately condemned by the international voices and even the local clerics who requested the Taliban to pull a halt on their terrorist activities during the sacred period of Ramadan.
