Hyderabad: The rising tennis talent from the city, Pranjala Yadlapalli, who recently won the junior Asian Tennis championship, achieved a career high on Wednesday.She has been made an integral part of an ITF Touring team that will compete in a series of junior tournaments over next three months in Europe, beginning with a camp in Italy from May 8 to 10.

The team is a part of a development programme that is jointly funded by ITF and the Grand Slam Development Fund. Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi graduated from the same programme decades back. "I am on cloud nine. I can now compete in many Grade-I ITF tournaments and also Junior French Open and Wimbledon," said Pranjala, who is a class XII student at Chinmaya Vidyalaya and is coached by Ilyas Ghouse at GVK Tennis Academy.
