Temporary capital to be built in 80 days
The temporary capital of Andhra Pradesh will be built in 80 days at a cost of over Rs 200 crore. The state government has asked Satya Vani Projects and Consultants Private Limited to design the buildings in such a way that 5 to 6 lakh square feet of built up space is constructed in eight weeks. Satya Vani had qualified in the technical stage and was selected as the firm to design the master plan, interior and concept plans of the temporary capital’s buildings.
The Infrastructure Corporation of Andhra Pradesh finalised the company on February 4, to design the temporary capital city buildings and it will submit concept plans, interior designs and the master plan by February 25.
Officials said the CM wants to shift some important offices from Hyderabad to the temporary capital by June 8, when the government completes one year in office after the bifurcation. The firm has to ensure construction is completed between March 19 and June 7.
Satya Vani director P. Surya Prakash said pre-cast or pre-engineered technology would be used to construct the buildings. “We are planning to construct four, five buildings with each having more than one lakh square feet built up space,” he said.
