Meerut: Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) ON Friday lauched air-conditioned bus service from Meerut to Anand Vihar in Delhi.
"As of now we have started two buses on trial basis. If we get a good response, the number of buses and its frequency will be increased," UPSRTC's Meerut manager, Ashok Kumar said.
The AC buses will depart from Meerut's Bhaisali bus stand in the morning at 8 AM and 9 AM while in the afternoon they will depart at 2 PM and 3 PM, Kumar said.
The buses will leave from Delhi at 11 AM and 12 noon and at 5 and 6 in the evening, he added. According to the manager, UPSRTC had previously initiated AC buse service from Meerut depot, Sohrab Gate and Bhaisali bus stand to Bareilly, Noida and Agra.
