Nine girls rescued as police foil a semi-nude dance party in Malur

The Kolar police foiled a rave party and rescued nine girls who were brought for dancing at a resort near Malur. They have arrested four persons, all from Andhra Pradesh, and also the manager of the resort.

They arrested men are Nagaraj (29), Meeravali (39), Dheeraj (30) and Kranthikumar (29). The other arrested person is Prakash Rao, the resort manager.

The party had been arranged in the name of a private pesticide company for its dealers in Kolar and Chickballapur districts. The contract for the same had been given to Nagaraj and his associates.

The party was arranged in a private resort on the outskirts of Malur. The resort is owned by a local BJP leader J.E. Ramegowda.

As party of the revelry, nine girls from various parts of Andhra Pradesh had been engaged to dance at the event. The girls were dancing semi-nude when the police team arrived.

According to sources, a full nude dance had been planned and a hefty entry fee was charged from the guests, who numbered around 40.

The police were tipped off about the event. A team, under the guidance of Kolar Superintendent of Police Divya, went to the resort on Sunday night and made the arrests.

The arrested men were produced in the court in Malur, Deputy Superintendent of Police Abdul Sattar told The Hindu.

Cases have been registered under various sections dealing with human trafficking, conspiracy to commit crime as well as narcotics and drugs control law.

Ms. Divya said, “Hyderabad-based Nagaraj is accused of arranging rave parties in Goa, Karwar, Dandeli and Tamil Nadu. He has been arrested in the past.”
