Public's Money For Babu's Private Farmhouse

AP CM Nara Chandrababu Naidu is mired in yet another controversy as the state's Roads and Buildings ministry has sanctioned Rs. 1.36 crores for Babu's farmhouse in Madinaguda in Ranga Reddy district. The ministry also issued a GO No. 181 directing the officials to carry out necessary works at the farmhouse immediately.

In its GO, the R & B ministry controversially stated Babu's farmhouse as his camp office and also said that the released funds will be used to enhance  CM's security and facilitate other important luxuries. Incidentally, this is the first sanction released by the R & B ministry this financial year.

Truth is that Babu vacated his Jubilee Hills residence recently and his Madinaguda farmhouse is being used as the official residence by the CM's family. This has led to Babu's opponents questioning the GO which mentioned family's residence as Babu's camp office.

Already, Babu has camp offices in Vijayawada and Hyderabad and several crores of public money was spent on beautification works to these buildings. On the other hand, Babu's administration will be shifted entirely to Amaravati from June 15th and this has given rise to criticism that Babu cannot use the Madinaguda farmhouse as his camp office.
