Life is all about surprises when you take the risky route. Eight years ago, this talented model who has already done few films down south which haven't worked, was taken by a storm by luck. She's picked up as a lead for Shahrukh Khan's Om Shanti Om. The film is a huge hit and Deepika Padukone became super starlet over night.
During the release of Om Shanti Om on November 9th 2007, Deepika is not worried about her own film but feared the opposite film 'Saawariya' of Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Both released on same day, and though Deepika walked away with success she felt that it's tough for her to become a Bhansali heroine. Now she did her second film with Bajirao Mastani released opposite her mentor Shahrukh's Dilwale. She switched sides after eight years but success remained on her side, on both occasions.
Deepika feels that life has thrown her a big surprise as this astonishing moment of working with Bhansali, which she never dreamt 8 years back, has come true. At that time, Bhansali is still spreading possibility of making Bajirao story as a film, and Deepika has read it over gossip columns. By the time gossip became news, she turned heroine of it.
