The study also says that the concoction can improve symptoms of diabetes such as hyperinsulinemia and insulin resistance.

Reduces cholesterol levels—Guava leaves also have anti-hyperlipidemic properties which help in controlling lipid levels. The study published in the Journal of Nutrition and Metabolism also says that drinking guava leaf extract with every meal can reduce blood cholesterol levels helping people with hypercholesterolemia and also prevent heart diseases.

Good for oral health—Guava leaves contain anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial properties and hence help in treating diseases like gingivitis. Guava leaves have also been used traditionally to treat a toothache.

Can help in treating acne—The anti-bacterial properties of guava leaves can eliminate acne-causing bacteria and treat acne according to a study published in the American Journal of Chinese Medicine.
