The Centre has responded favourably to the setting up of a railway zone at Visakhapatnm. AP Chief Minister met Prime Minister Modi yesterday and spoke to him about the importance of setting up the railway zone, besides special category status as well as special package. The Centre has referred the matter to the railway ministry. A railway technical committee has met to discuss the issue. The proposals for the same will be introduced in the next cabinet meeting.
