Kirlampudi (East Godavari): Many leaders and supporters met Kapu leader Mudragada Padmanabham who sat on indefinite fast demanding the inclusion of Kapus into BC list and extended their solidarity. Most of the leaders came down heavily on the State government for its dictatorial attitude.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao faulted the State government for not fulfilling its poll promise and trying to escape from its responsibility. Refuting the argument that the BCs would suffer, if Kapus were included in the BC list,
Hanumantha Rao questioned why the government is not following Tamil Nadu model and increase the percentage of reservations over 50 per cent. If the government has commitment, it is not difficult to implement reservations for Kapus. He alleged that the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is misguiding BCs over the issue of reservations for Kapus.
