Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment Bandaru Dattatreya is all set to take action against Congress MP and former union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia by moving a privilege motion against him over false accusations and defamation.
Addressing the media in New Delhi on Monday, Bandaru Dattatreya stated that Jyotiraditya Scindia had accused him of calling the Dalit research scholar from Hyderabad Central University Rohit Vemula, an anti-national in his letter to the HRD minister Smriti Irani.
Elaborating further, the Union Minister said that he had never mentioned Rohit Vemula in his letter yet he was being dragged into the controversy intentionally. However, the Minister is now planning to move a privilege motion against Jyotiraditya Scindia.
