Union Minister Bandau Dattatreya expressed his happiness over Ramoji Rao's selection for Padma Vibhushan Award. Speaking to the media, Dattatreya stated Ramoji rao is a man with character and abundant knowledge.
Eenadu group chairman Ramoji rao deserves the award for his services in various Indian languages in the media sector. Ramoji Rao is a person with great human values, added Dattatreya.
Earlier, Chief ministers of Andhra pradesh and Telangana states, Nara Chandrababu Naidu and K. Chandrasekhar Rao have expressed their happiness over Ramoji Rao's selection for Padma Vihushan Award.
In a statement, Chandrababu said, Ramoji Rao has made remarkable job in taking the print and the elctronic media to the international levels.
Telangana Chief Minister KCR stated Ramoji Rao deserves the award as his services in the media and the journalism sector deserves great appreciation. CM congratulated all the Padma awardess from both the Telugu states.
On the eve of Republic Day, the government has announced the list for the Padma Awards 2016. Eminent personalities from across the fields of sports, entertainment and public service are to be awarded the Padma Bhushan, Padma Vibhushan and Padma Shri awards.
