Palakurthy MLA Errabelli Dayakar Rao formally joined the Telangana Rashtra Samithi here on Thursday.
Errabelli was inducted into the party by Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao by offering a pink 'khandwa' (scarf) at a function held at Telangana Bhavan here on Thursday. Several other leaders from Warangal district also joined the TRS on this occasion.
It may be mentioned that Errabelli had recently resigned from the post of Telugu Desam Legislature Party leader and also party's primary membership to join the ruling party. His entry into the TRS just before the elections for Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation has given a major jolt to TDP while strengthening ruling party's prospects in the civic polls.
