A 6-month-old infant was charred to death in a fire mishap that took place at B.K. Palem village in Kakumanu mandal in the late hours of Monday.
The incident took place in a house in which four persons along with the infant were sleeping. Fire Department sources said that fire could have been caused by a Jet Mosquito repellant coil which came in touch with the bed sheet.
The infant has been identified as Himema. The injured have been shifted to Guntur Government Hospital.
