Minister for Panchayat Raj and Information Technology K T Rama Rao on Friday urged the Centre to provide Rs 100 crore to the second phase of T-Hub. He also requested the Centre to release Rs 3,000 crore as promised under ITIR project to Telangana. The Minister met Union Minister for Information Technology Ravishankar Prasad in New Delhi and invited him to launch the second phase of T-Hub. Addressing the media, KTR said that the Union Minister had responded positively to his request.
KTR said that he had requested Union Urban Development Minister M Venkaiah Naidu to include Karimnagar in the Smart Cities list. He said various measures being taken for the development of Hyderabad were discussed during the meeting with Naidu. The Telangana minister said that during his meeting with Union Home minister Rajnath Singh, the issue of bringing an Act to increase the number of seats in the Legislative Assembly to 153 was raised.
KTR said that during a meeting with Union Finance minister Arun Jaitley, he had urged the Centre to permit JICA to release Rs 833 crore meant for the construction of Hyderabad Outer Ring Road.
