First the YCP No-Confidence motion against the Chandrababu Naidu government and against Speaker Kodela Siva Prasad Rao on the next day were defeated after a debate.
Secondly, the Privileges Committee met on Friday, and she was told to appear before it on Saturday, giving RK Roja, YCP leader, no time time to react.
On the one hand, Roja's plea for re-entry to the House was barred for 3 days, after initially telling her to come at 9 am on Friday. When she turned up for the assembly session on Friday, she was barred from entering the House. The same thing happened on Saturday, too.
She took ill because she rushed to attend the House session and she was barred entry. She staged sit-in at the gate and took ill.
This was despite the AP High Court bench setting aside the 1 year suspension on her and allowing her to attend the House through an interim stay.
Now the Privileges Committee had given her summons yesterday and she was told to attend the committee meeting by Saturday evening. Meanwhile, owing to the continued sit-in at the Assembly gate she had taken ill and had to be shifted to NIMS Hospital for teatment.
Roja wrote a letter to the committee questioning how she could be expected to attend the Privileges Committee meeting at short notice. She told the committee that she was fighting injustice. As a result she took ill. She was taking treatment. Therefore she could not attend the committee meeting in this instant.
