Nellore DCC president Panabaka Krishnaiah speaking on the issue of AP special status said that the Congress will continue their fight till the special status category is achieved for the state. Mentioning the 1 crore signatures collected by the AP Congress in support of special status, Krishnaiah said that the Congress leaders met national parties in Delhi and elaborated on the need for special status to AP.
The Congress leader added that it was unfortunate that they could not meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi nor get his appointment even after the memorandum with one crore signatures was submitted.
