Guinness record aspirant gives birth to baby girl

Karimnagar: Nine- month pregnant woman, Kamarapu Laxmi, who performed five kilometre run to capture place in the Guinness Book of the World Records, gave birth to a baby girl in a private hospital on Monday. The new born weighing 2.75 kilograms is doing fine. The condition of both child and mother was stable. Pediatrician, Dr Rajender, who examined the girl after the birth, made it clear that the health condition of the new born was stable.

There was no need to administer any medicines, said Ravinder, husband of Laxmi. He also said he took Laxmi to Jhansi Laxmi maternity hospital when she developed labour-pains. She had a normal delivery and gave birth to a baby girl.On April 26, Laxmi performed five kilometre run at Ambedkar stadium with slogan of “Pet Mein Beti Bachao Thalab Mein Pani Bachao” in support of Mission Kakatiya.

Exactly nine days after her feat, she gave a birth to baby. Earlier, she also performed same feat on the World Women’s Day. Regular jogging, walking, exercise and healthy food habits helped Laxmi to give birth to a baby without any difficulty and operation, Ravinder opined.
