Aliens Group managing director Hari Challa has been arrested by Ramachandrapuram police for allegedly cheating the customers. He was sent to Sanga Reddy prison and a lookout notice has been issued for other accused who were absconding.
As many as 60 Customers of Alien Space Station-I project in Tellapur lodged a complaint against the company for failing to deliver the Apartments on time inspite of collecting crores in advance. They allege the Construction Firm have cheated them with lucrative offers.
About 15 FIRs have been registered in connection with the case. Aliens Group MD Hari Challa, Joint MD Venkat Prasanna Challa and Partner Vishwanath were listed as accused in the complaints. Cases under Sections 420 (Cheating), 406 (breach of trust) of IPC have been registered.
Alien Space Station-I project was launched in 2008 with an estimated cost of Rs 1,100 crore. Towers with 32 floors each and 2,100 flats were promised to be built in 13 different locations. However, The firm managed to construct only 2 out 13 such towers in the past 7 years.
