Hyderabad: The Andhra Pradesh cabinet have agreed for a new e-mail system in the meeting, which has been continuing from 10.30 am today, under the leadership of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
As per this decision, no government department will use private e-mails. A policy has been designed so that government employees will use government e-mail facility only. From grassroots level staff to high level employees, the government e-mail will be provided.
This is to protect e-mail hacking or theft. In the first phase 40,000 employees will get the government e-mail facility.
The Ministry also okayed for the Aadhaar system. It was decided that all government departments should use the Aadhaar in a similar way. Rules and regulations will be formed as to how to use this unique number.
According to sources, the ministers also got a clarity about the alternate methods for those who do not have the Aadhaar card.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu expressed his displeasure over the arrangements for the Godavari Pushkaralu, which, he said, was going at a snail's pace. Even the 'aarti' was not up to the mark, he openly expressed his dissatisfaction and criticised the working style of endowments department.
The ministers alleged that Rs 4,000 cr corruption took place in housing construction during the last 10 years. They decided to form a legislative committee to inquire into the case. Before taking action against the accused, the cabinet decided that the vigilance will investigate the case again.
