Andhra Pradesh government is getting ready to approach the High Court against the contentious GO issued by the Telangana government on the issue of holding EAMCET this year.

Stating that Telangana government's orders on EAMCET are against the stipulations mentioned the AP State Reorganisation Act 2014, the AP government has decided to approach the High Court for justice.

AP HRD Minister Ganta Srinivas Rao will be meeting the Governor ESL Narasimhan shortly on the EAMCET row.

It may be recalled that Telangana government, quoting the AP State Reorganisation Act 2014, had said that it had the right to conduct EAMCET and all other entrance exams for its students.

The TS government had also said that it was willing to help the AP government in conducting EAMCET for Andhra students if the latter government so desired.

Rejecting this argument, the AP government is approaching the High Court for justice.
